About Forward 1919 Global Strategic Advisory

Boris Tadić

 Boris Tadić is a distinguished statesman and diplomat who served as the President of Serbia from 2004 to 2012. During his tenure, he was instrumental in advancing Serbia's European integration, submitting Serbia’s application to join the European Union, and securing the country's membership in NATO’s Partnership for Peace program. He also promoted democratic reforms and advocated for regional stability in the Western Balkans. Prior to his presidency, Tadić held key governmental roles, including Minister of Telecommunications and Minister of Defense.

He holds a degree in psychology from the University of Belgrade, which has shaped his approach to politics and leadership, emphasizing dialogue, conflict resolution, and understanding human behavior in international relations. His educational foundation, combined with extensive experience in European diplomacy and strategic policy-making, brings invaluable insight to the Advisory Board of Forward 1919 Global Strategic Advisory.

Dr Artis Papriks

 Politician, former Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Foreign Affairs, former Member of the European Parliament. 

Dr. Artis Pabriks is a politician, an academician, and currently chairman of “Northern Defence Policy Centre”. 

Pabriks started his political career in 2004, when he was elected to the Parliament of Latvia (Saeima). Three months later, he was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. During this time he was negotiating Latvian-Russian border agreement.

In 2014, when he was elected in the European Parliament, Dr. Artis Pabriks became a member of the Committee on International Trade and the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. He was responsible for the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between Canada and the EU, and the reform of FRONTEX. In 2018, he was elected to the Parliament of Latvia. From January 2019 until December 2022, Dr. Artis Pabriks was the Minister for Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Latvia.


Richard Howitt

Former Member of the European Parliament


Richard Howitt is Strategic Advisor, Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, Business and Human Rights, working with companies and organisations to advance responsible business conduct. Longstanding Member of the European Parliament, responsible for EU sustainability reporting legislation. Former CEO at forerunner to today’s International Sustainability Reporting Board. He is an experienced leader in the field, in the regulatory sphere, as a global Chief Executive Officer and Board member. Board Director at think-tank r3.0 and at the Eiris Foundation. Senior Associate at the purpose-driven law firm, Frank Bold, where he hosts the ‘Frankly Speaking’ responsible business podcast. Teaches business and human rights at Audencia Business School.


Hikmet Çetin

 Hikmet Çetin is a distinguished Turkish politician, diplomat, and economist who has held some of the highest offices both nationally and internationally. He served as Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, playing a key role in shaping the country’s foreign policy during a pivotal era. Internationally, Mr. Çetin was appointed as NATO's first Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan, where he acted as NATO’s highest-level political representative to oversee peace and reconstruction efforts. 

He holds an M.A. in "Economics of Development" from Williams College and conducted research on "Planning Models" at Stanford University. Entering politics through the Republican People's Party (CHP), he eventually became its President. Elected multiple times to the Turkish Grand National Assembly, he also served as its Speaker, reinforcing his influence on Turkey’s legislative process. With over five decades of experience in governance, diplomacy, and international relations, Mr. Çetin brings invaluable expertise to Forward 1919's Global Strategic Advisory Board.

M. Oğuz Demiralp

Ambassador Demiralp has held several high-profile diplomatic roles, bringing extensive experience in international relations and diplomacy. He served as Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization (WTO) from 2000 to 2002, where he also chaired the WTO Working Group on Trade and Investment and the Committee on Trade and Environment. Following this, he represented Turkey as the Permanent Representative to the EU from 2002 to 2005 and later served as the Secretary-General for European Union Affairs until 2009.

His distinguished career includes appointments as Turkey's Ambassador to Bern (2009-2010) and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva (2010-2013). In 2014, he was appointed as an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later served as Turkey’s Ambassador to Mexico. His profound expertise in international relations and diplomacy significantly enhances the strategic depth of Forward 1919's Advisory Board.

Sevinc Kader


Founder & CEO, Senior Geopolitical Strategist l Board Director

 

Sevinc Kader is the Founder and CEO of Forward 1919, a Global Strategic Advisory Platform based in Brussels. She is an internationally recognised geopolitical strategist and board-certified advisor, with 20 years of experience across EU policy, geopolitical foresight and strategy, technology governance, and transatlantic relations, spanning Brussels and Washington, D.C.

Early in her career, she served as a Strategic Advisor within the European Parliament, contributing to legislative and political strategy. She subsequently held senior advisory and board-level positions across the EU decision-making ecosystem and international policy networks, advising institutions, global companies, and international organisations on geopolitical risk, regulatory strategy, ESG, energy transition, and AI governance.

At different stages of her international career, she has advised European and internationally active companies, supported the international strategy of NGOs, and collaborated with global advisory and risk consultancy firms on regulatory, geopolitical, and market-entry strategy. She has also led EU institutional strategy and positioning for international organisations operating in Brussels.

Sevinc was a long-term Visiting Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where her work focused on transatlantic relations, and a Visiting Scholar at New York University (NYU), specialising in AI governance, emerging technologies, and their implications for governance.

She holds the European Board Diploma and is a Certified Independent Board Member. In 2024, she was recognised as a Leading Public Affairs Voice, and in 2025 as one of the top AI governance voices within the EU ecosystem. She is a frequent contributor to international media and policy forums on EU affairs, geopolitics, and AI governance.
